Problem:
This is a template issue between Domino R5 and Domino 6. The only workaround
currently is to upgrade all users to the Domino 6 mail template (Mail6.ntf).
The issue has been addressed in Notes/Domino 6.0.4 and 6.5.2.
Excerpt from the Lotus Notes and Domino Release 6.0.4 and 6.5.2 MR fix lists
(available at http://www.ibm.com/developerworks/lotus/):
Calendaring & Scheduling
SPR# JBIE5UWQ4V - Fixed a problem where meetings sent between time zones, in a
mixed R5/ND6 environment, displayed the wrong originating start date. This
issue affects all ND6.x users when invitations are sent from R5 users.
Steps To Reproduce Problem (on a single server):
1. Set up a Domino 6.5 Server and Client.
2. Create 2 users, one whose mail file uses the standard R5 mail template
(Mail5.ntf), and the other with the standard 6 mail template (Mail6.ntf).
3. Set the operating system's (OS) time zone on the client workstation to be
in Singapore (GMT+8), and restart the workstation.
4. Open the R5 mail file and send an invite on January 6th at 11:00 am to the
other test user.
5. Exit the client and set the time zone to Central (GMT-6).
6. As the other user, open the mail file and accept the meeting.
7. Open the meeting in the Calendar. Note the start date for the time in the
sender's time zone is wrong (January 5th instead of January 6th). More >
